Mariano Díaz Achieves Career Milestone as Alavés Thrash Getafe in La Liga Season Opener
A former Real Madrid forward emerged as the standout performer, marking the beginning of the new La Liga campaign on Saturday night with a memorable display.
Deportivo Alavés hosted Getafe, officially kicking off the 2026/27 season in Spain's top football division.
Ultimately, the home side secured a dominant 3-0 victory, significantly benefiting from Kiko Femenía's red card late in the first half.
The aforementioned Mariano Díaz was directly involved in all three of Alavés' goals.
