A player from the defensive lineup, identified as a Real Madrid star, reportedly faced disappointment this week. This news comes after the announcement of England’s latest national team squad. The Three Lions unveiled a 35-man provisional roster for two upcoming warm-up matches in preparation for the World Cup.

Despite his recent recovery and return to form, Trent Alexander-Arnold, a player previously with Liverpool, was notably excluded from the squad. His omission occurred even with Reece James sidelined due to injury, as the coaching staff instead opted for a right-back contingent of Djed Spence, Tino Livramento, and Jarell Quansah.

Conversely, Alexander-Arnold's Real Madrid teammate, Jude Bellingham, did receive a call-up, despite also recently returning from his own injury spell.

England is scheduled to begin its March international break with a friendly against Uruguay next Friday, before concluding their fixtures against Japan four days later.
