Robert Lewandowski Discusses Barcelona Future Amid Contract Uncertainty
Barcelona's star forward, Robert Lewandowski, offered new insights into his contractual status at the club on Monday. This statement comes amidst continuous speculation regarding the veteran striker's future.
Currently, Lewandowski's tenure with Barcelona appears slated to conclude at the end of the ongoing season. The ex-Bayern Munich striker's contract is set to expire this summer, and no consensus has been reached concerning an extension.
Despite the uncertainty, Lewandowski remains a crucial offensive player for Hansi Flick's squad in the Catalan capital, having contributed 16 goals and three assists in 37 appearances this season.
Media reports have consistently indicated that a potential one-year extension with the Blaugrana remains a distinct possibility.
When questioned about his future at Camp Nou by reporters on Monday, as he left for international duty, the 37-year-old reiterated his stance: "Nothing has changed regarding my contract with Barcelona. I will have time to sit down and consider my future and available options."
