Gabriel Osho Set for Cardiff City Transfer After Auxerre Stint

After a single season with Auxerre, Gabriel Osho, 27, is reportedly making his way back to the UK, following his free transfer from Luton Town last year.

The Nigerian international defender initially joined Auxerre after his contract with Luton Town expired. During his sole complete season at the club, Osho featured in 21 matches, playing a crucial role in Christophe Pélissier’s team comfortably exceeding their league objectives and securing a strong mid-table position.

Despite starting Auxerre’s first two games of the current campaign, Osho is now expected to complete a transfer to League One club Cardiff City. The financial terms of this move, bringing the Nigerian to the Welsh capital, remain undisclosed.

On Monday, Osho reportedly cleared out his locker at Auxerre’s training facilities and is anticipated to sign a four-year contract with Cardiff City.
