According to multiple sources, Galatasaray has reportedly increased their bid for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen to €75 million, proposing payment over two instalments (€40 million upfront, followed by €35 million). A club director is quoted stating, “We won`t return without Osimhen.”
Information about this offer first emerged in Turkey via Yagiz Sabuncuoglu and was later confirmed by Fabrizio Romano. The situation is developing quickly but remains very complicated.
The new proposal came less than an hour after Napoli completely rejected a previous bid totalling €70 million. While the €75 million release clause deadline has passed, this figure remains the absolute minimum price Napoli is prepared to accept.
The main sticking point now is the payment schedule. The Partenopei (Napoli) want to receive the full fee in two instalments, rather than the five that were previously suggested.
It is understood the proposed structure to meet this is €40 million paid immediately, with the remaining €35 million in the second payment.
If Galatasaray can once again provide sufficient bank guarantees for the full €75 million, then Osimhen should finally receive clearance to fly to Istanbul.
It is unlikely the situation will be resolved tonight, so another meeting is planned for Saturday morning. Galatasaray officials have repeatedly postponed their flight home.
“We won`t come back without Osimhen,” director Abdullah Kavukcu told reporters this evening.
The Nigerian forward spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, where he scored 37 goals and provided eight assists in 41 competitive appearances.
