Galatasaray Secures Victor Osimhen in €75 Million Deal, Appears to Troll Napoli

Football & Cricket

Galatasaray has officially announced that Victor Osimhen is en route to Istanbul to finalize his permanent transfer from Napoli, accompanied by a pointed Italian message: “Solo il Gala” (`Only Gala`).

Following extensive negotiations spanning several weeks, Osimhen is now poised to officially join Galatasaray as a permanent signing.

The Turkish club has committed to paying the entire €75 million transfer fee stipulated in the player`s contract earlier this summer. The payment structure involves an initial €40 million upfront, with the remaining €35 million to be settled in installments by the close of 2026.

Galatasaray Confirms Osimhen`s Travel to Complete Signing

Prior reports indicated that Osimhen`s medical examination in Turkey was scheduled for Thursday, July 31. Galatasaray has since verified that the Nigerian international is indeed traveling to complete this.

Galatasaray shared a brief video on their social media platforms featuring Osimhen from his flight. Remarkably, the club is also live-streaming the flight`s progress on YouTube, complemented by ongoing commentary and analysis.

The video of Osimhen`s journey to Istanbul seemingly includes a subtle jab at Napoli, highlighted by the decision to have him utter “only Gala” in Italian, rather than English or Turkish.
