Джан Пьеро Гасперини признался, что не ожидал такого количества трудностей в матче, где его “Рома” одержала победу над “Вероной” со счетом 2:0. Он подчеркнул, что в будущем ротация состава станет критически важной.

Такого результата “Рома” добивалась лишь трижды до этого: в сезонах 2014-15, 2013-14 и 1991-92.
«Если у “Ромы” такой хороший оборонительный показатель, то во многом это заслуга Свилара. Он не только делает исключительные сейвы, но и является гарантом при начале атак сзади. Несомненно, у нас отличный вратарь», — отметил Гасперини.
В ожидании сегодняшнего матча “Наполи” против “Милана”, “Рома” временно занимает первое место в турнирной таблице.
«Приятно видеть такие результаты, но это тот момент сезона, когда мы движемся от игры к игре, впереди очень долгий путь, и нам нужно продолжать совершенствоваться по всему составу».

Gasperini Surprised by Challenges in Roma`s 2-0 Victory Over Verona
Gian Piero Gasperini confessed that he hadn`t anticipated such significant difficulties during his Roma team`s 2-0 triumph against Verona. He emphasized that strategic squad rotation would become vital moving forward.
This win marked the Giallorossi`s third consecutive victory within a single week. They had previously secured a 1-0 win against rivals Lazio, followed by a 2-1 away victory over OGC Nice in the Europa League, and now comfortably dispatched Verona with a 2-0 scoreline.
“I was well aware of the fitness issues several players were experiencing, as this was our first time this season playing three matches in a week, and not everyone had fully recovered,” Gasperini told DAZN Italia.
“Frankly, we didn’t foresee these challenges, so we must reflect on this and adapt our approach for the future.”
Gasperini Assessing Roma`s Squad Limits
Beyond scoring more than one goal in a Serie A match for the first time this season, the game also saw breakthrough performances from Artem Dovbyk and Matias Soulé. However, Roma largely benefited from Verona’s poor finishing and several outstanding saves by goalkeeper Mile Svilar.
“We encountered problems today that were absent in previous games; it was evident that some players lacked sharpness. When Verona pressed forward, they found it easier than usual to move the ball around.”
“It`s a pity, we also weren`t sharp enough in transition, and we struggled more than we should have.”
Roma’s defensive record this season remains remarkable, having conceded only one goal in their first five Serie A fixtures.
This impressive defensive feat has only been achieved three times before by Roma: in the 2014-15, 2013-14, and 1991-92 seasons.
“Roma’s strong defensive record owes a lot to Svilar. He not only makes exceptional saves but also provides reliability when initiating play from the back. Without a doubt, we have a fantastic goalkeeper,” Gasperini stated.
Ahead of Napoli`s match against Milan later this evening, Roma is currently holding the joint top position in the league table.
“While these results are gratifying, we are in a phase of the season where we must approach each game individually. There’s a long way to go, and continuous improvement across the entire squad is essential.”
“This also means integrating players like Pellegrini, Dovbyk, and Hermoso back into the team. Ziolkowski also made his debut today, and there are others who can contribute. We will certainly need them if we continue to face such difficulties whenever we have three games in a week.”
