Real Madrid’s promising talent, Mario Martín, has officially completed a permanent move away from the Spanish giants. This development comes as La Liga rivals Getafe confirmed they have exercised their option to sign the midfielder outright.
After realizing that playing time would be limited at his parent club last summer, Martín spent the previous season on loan at the Coliseum. The young player from Sonseca became a key figure for Getafe, participating in 37 matches across league and cup competitions, and contributing with four goals and two assists.
At just 22 years old, it had long been rumored that Getafe was prepared to make Martín’s move permanent. This speculation was confirmed on Thursday, with Getafe CF announcing the transfer through their website and social media channels:
“Getafe CF has exercised its option to buy midfielder Mario Martín from Real Madrid, and the player will be linked to the club for the next 4 seasons, until June 30, 2030.”
