RC Lens has officially announced the temporary departure of Goduine Koyalipou (25), who is set to join Levante UD on a loan agreement valid until the close of the current season. The Spanish La Liga club holds an undisclosed purchase option for the forward, which, according to reports, will convert into a permanent transfer if Levante manages to avoid relegation.
Koyalipou`s tenure at Lens was brief, having only arrived from CSKA Moscow in the winter transfer window for a €2 million fee. Despite netting four goals in 15 appearances, doubts arose concerning his overall impact and contribution to the squad during his time with the club.
Lens is actively seeking to rejuvenate their offensive line, which demonstrated a notable lack of potency for significant portions of the previous season, concluding with the lowest goal tally among teams in the top half of the league standings. In addition to Koyalipou`s exit, the club opted not to retain M’Bala Nzola (28), whose loan period from Fiorentina was largely underwhelming, despite his six goals being enough to make him the club`s leading scorer.
