Rasmus Hojlund, the former Atalanta forward, could reportedly become available for a loan move to either Juventus or Milan. This development comes as Bryan Mbeumo finalizes his transfer from Brentford to Manchester United.
Hojlund, who joined United from Atalanta in summer 2023 for over €80 million, has been frequently linked with a return to Serie A throughout the current transfer window. His first two seasons at Old Trafford have been somewhat modest, yielding 16 goals in his debut year and 10 in his second across all competitions.
The Danish international has attracted interest from various Serie A clubs this summer. Initially, Inter considered him as they sought forwards to complement Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, and Mehdi Taremi, before ultimately signing Ange-Yoan Bonny. More recently, both Juventus and Milan have emerged as potential destinations for the 22-year-old.
However, these Italian clubs have primarily sought a loan agreement that includes an option to make the transfer permanent at the season`s conclusion, a term Manchester United has been hesitant to agree to.
United Reportedly Open to Hojlund Loan Following Mbeumo`s Arrival
Nevertheless, according to reports from Calciomercato.com, United might now be agreeable to Hojlund`s loan departure, particularly after securing both Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. Mbeumo was recently seen in Manchester for his contract signing and is anticipated to be officially announced soon.
Despite the significant fee United paid for Hojlund two years prior, his current valuation in summer 2025 remains around €45 million.
Manchester United appears increasingly open to sanctioning an initial loan for Hojlund. Recent reports from Sunday indicate that a conditional obligation to buy, tied to Champions League qualification for the 2025-26 season, might persuade them to finalize a deal.
