The father of former Juventus defender Dean Huijsen has voiced his dissatisfaction with how the club compelled his son to leave, branding it “a genuine shock” and “a dark day.”
Donald Caspar Huijsen, speaking to Tuttosport, recounted the moment his son was informed he was no longer part of Juventus` plans. “It was a genuine shock. A dark day. Dean was thriving in Turin; he spoke Italian perfectly and was liked by everyone,” he stated.
“Giuntoli was unequivocal, and Motta was brutal when they declared he could no longer train with the first team,” the father added.
Huijsen`s departure has been a source of regret for many Juventus fans a year later. The center-back moved to Bournemouth last summer and had an excellent season with the Cherries, leading to his transfer to Real Madrid this summer.

Rumors of Giuntoli`s Dismissal Over Huijsen`s Sale
Huijsen Sr. also commented on speculation that Juventus owner John Elkann dismissed Giuntoli due to this sale: “He and Motta are certainly not among my closest friends…”
Nonetheless, the young Real Madrid star still maintains a connection to his former club. His father revealed: “Dean still reads Tuttosport on his phone and enjoyed visiting Marchisio`s and Bonucci`s restaurants in Turin.”

Finally, Huijsen`s father highlighted the bond between his son and Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz: “They are still very good friends and instantly connected in the Juventus youth team.”
The 20-year-old has featured in almost all of Real Madrid`s matches this season, demonstrating maturity beyond his years at the heart of the La Liga giants` defense.
