FC Basel has reached an agreement with Rennes for the transfer of 23-year-old Moroccan international winger Ibrahim Salah, as reported by L`Equipe. Salah initially joined Rennes from Belgian club Gent during the 2023 winter transfer window, stepping in after Kamaldeen Sulemana`s departure.
Over eighteen months with Rennes, Salah contributed seven goals and one assist in 47 appearances across all competitions. Last season, he was deemed surplus to requirements and spent his campaign on loan at fellow Ligue 1 side Stade Brestois. According to Ouest-France, the transfer fee for Salah is understood to be approximately €2 million.
