ICC Cricket ODI World Cup 2019 Winner

England left the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 trophy for the first time in fornt of their own crowd. A great honor for the team who introduced cricket. They brought a new style of batting which helped them to become the champions for the first time.

The 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup is the 12th Cricket World Cup, a quadrennial international (ODI) cricket tournament contested by men’s national teams and organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Held from 30 May to 14 July at 10 venues in England and one in Wales, the tournament was England’s 5th World Cup and Wales’ 3rd World Cup. 

This tournament will be changed to a group stage consisting of a round with 10 teams participating from the last 14, with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs. In four matches over six weeks, India, Australia, England and New Zealand finished in the top four, while Pakistan lost their clean sheet. In the knockout stages, England and New Zealand won their semi-finals and advanced to the final at Lord’s in London. 

The final ended in a draw after both teams scored 241 runs and it was an ODI First Super Over. England won the championship for the first time since the Super Over was also completed under the boundary countdown rule. 

The total attendance for the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup was 752,000. The group stage footage has been viewed a total of over 2.6 billion times worldwide, making it the most watched cricket match of 2019 in 2019.

Hosting

In April 2006, England and Wales won the hosting rights after Australia and New Zealand withdrew their bids for the 2015 Cricket World Cup. It was the fifth Cricket World Cup held in England, following the 1975 World Cups, 1979, 1983 and 1999. 

Wales also hosted matches in the 1983 and 1999 tournaments, the latter played in Scotland, Ireland and the Netherlands.

Each team has 14 teams in the 2019 World Cup teams and the global Cup before 2011 and 2015.  Host (UK) and September 30, 2017 received the international ranking of another group on the first International ICC standings.

 On September 19, 2017, the team confirmed that the team was Australia, Bangladesh, UK, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka. The other two places were resolved by the 2018 qualifications. 

Qualification
