ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Netherlands Squad led by Scott Edwards. The Netherlands team has announced its 15-man roster for the next ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. Host country India, as well as seven other teams, have qualified for the event, and two more have been selected through a qualifier round in Zimbabwe in June and July which includes Netherlands snd Sri Lanka.
The bottom five teams from the 2020-23 World Cup Super League (excluding World Cup hosts India), the top three teams from the 2014-23 World Cup League 2, and the top two teams from the 2023 World Cup Qualifier Play-off will compete. The top two teams from this qualifying round will be invited to the World Cup, which will be contested in India in October and November of this year.

Several notable Netherlands players, including Colin Ackermann, Fred Klaassen, Paul van Meekeren, and Roelof van der Merwe, will be absent from the squad owing to county obligations. Speaking about the team, Netherlands skipper Scott Edwards believes the team is well prepared for the qualifications and is confident of performing well in Zimbabwe conditions. He believes the team has a nice balance of youth and experience.
“Having just returned from a three-game series in Zimbabwe a few months ago, we have been deliberate in our preparation for the qualifiers, and we are confident that the squad we have selected can play a brand of cricket that will be successful in these conditions,” said the captain Edwards.
“We have a good mix of experienced and exciting young players who have done well in the domestic Pro Series and club season leading up to this tournament.”
