ICC World Cup 2023: Pakistan’s participation is expected to be decided on August 3rd, according to reports. According to Cricbuzz, the most recent news is that a decision on Pakistan’s participation in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will be made on Thursday (3rd August). Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan’s Prime Minister, recently formed a high-level committee to assess the situation.

On Thursday, a committee led by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto, will convene to make a final decision. The gathering will include Sports Minister Ahsan Mazari, Maryam Aurangzeb, Asad Mahmood, Amin ul Haq, Qamar Zaman Kaira, and Tariq Fatmi, a former diplomat.

According to reports, the committee is confident that the Men in Green will travel to India for the World Cup. They may, however, send a security mission to the neighbouring country before making a final decision on the team’s participation in the flagship competition, which is scheduled to take place in October-November.

Pakistan’s matches will be held at Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad. They will begin their campaign against the Netherlands on October 6th at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, followed by a match against Sri Lanka at the same location.

According to different media sources, Pakistan’s World Cup schedule will also undergo significant adjustments. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah indicated that the revised schedule will be announced soon, with some small tweaks, after 2-3 full members had concerns over it.

The revisions have been communicated to both the ICC and the BCCI.
