Atzori ha raccontato: “Andammo a giocare a Venezia e Allegri ci disse che se avessimo vinto saremmo andati al casinò, chiedendoci di portare con noi anche l’abito. Lo disse a me e Giunti. Mettemmo 500mila lire a testa e le demmo ad Allegri, a lui piaceva il casinò, ci sapeva fare. In sole due giocate vincemmo 10 milioni, anche se poi mi arrabbiai quando vidi che ne diede 2 al croupier.”

L’ex difensore ha poi spiegato meglio i dettagli di quella serata: “Io non ero mai entrato in un casinò. C’era questo tavolo col croupier che faceva girare la pallina e Allegri così fece la sua giocata. La pallina capitò su questo numero e ricordo che Max si gasò come un bambino di 2 anni e vincemmo 36 volte la posta.”

Ma la storia non finì qui, perché Allegri, dopo la prima vincita, puntò al raddoppio: “Rifece un’altra giocata e raddoppiò la puntata. Da 3,6 milioni passammo a 7 milioni, guadagnammo 10 milioni in due giocate e lui diede 2 milioni al croupier di mancia. Quando lo vidi lo presi dal petto e gli dissi: ‘Oh qui ci sono anche i soldi miei, 2 milioni ma sei scemo’. Ma non avevo capito che se dai una buona mancia al croupier lui bene o male cercava di mandare la pallina dove stavano i tuoi numeri perché sapeva che avrebbe avuto una buona mancia. Alla fine vincemmo un bel po’ di soldi.”

Atzori recounted: “We went to play in Venice, and Allegri told us that if we won, we’d go to the casino, asking us to bring our suits. He told me and Giunti. We each put in 500,000 lire and gave them to Allegri; he enjoyed casinos and was skilled at it. In just two plays, we won 10 million lire, though I got angry when I saw him give 2 million to the croupier.”

The former defender then elaborated on the details of that evening: “I had never entered a casino before. There was this table with the croupier spinning the ball, and Allegri made his bet. The ball landed on his number, and I remember Max got as excited as a two-year-old, and we won 36 times our stake.”

But the story didn’t end there, because Allegri, after the first win, aimed to double down: “He made another bet and doubled the stake. We went from 3.6 million to 7 million, earning 10 million in two plays, and he gave 2 million to the croupier as a tip. When I saw him, I grabbed him by the chest and said, ‘Hey, my money is in here too, 2 million, are you crazy?’ But I hadn’t understood that if you give a good tip to the croupier, he, more or less, tries to guide the ball towards your numbers because he knows he’ll get a good tip.
