Atalanta has once more turned down Inter Milan`s approach for forward Ademola Lookman. Inter`s latest proposal, totaling €42 million upfront with an additional €3 million in performance-related add-ons, still falls short of Atalanta`s firm asking price of €50 million, as the summer transfer deadline looms.
A much-anticipated meeting between representatives from both clubs took place this morning. The objective was to discuss the terms of a potential transfer and ascertain if a mutual agreement could finally be reached.
Atalanta Holds Firm on Lookman`s Valuation

Following an initial €40 million offer which was also rejected, Inter submitted a revised written bid. This second offer amounted to a total of €45 million, comprising €42 million base fee and €3 million in bonuses. However, as widely anticipated, this improved offer was also deemed insufficient by Atalanta and consequently, it was rejected.
Throughout the entirety of these negotiations, Atalanta has consistently maintained that their valuation for Lookman stands at €50 million. While this is their official asking price, sources suggest that the club would be willing to accept an offer structured around €45 million guaranteed, complemented by €5 million in various add-ons.

The path forward remains uncertain. It is yet to be determined if Inter will escalate their offer further to meet Atalanta`s demands or if they will pivot their attention towards alternative transfer targets in the market.
A significant factor influencing these ongoing discussions is Inter`s self-imposed deadline. The Nerazzurri are reportedly not prepared to extend these negotiations beyond July 31, implying that substantial progress toward an agreement must be made before that date to secure Lookman`s services.
