Ipswich Town has reportedly submitted a bid for Como forward Iván Azón, aiming to intercept his potential transfer to Valencia, as reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The Championship club has reportedly joined the competition to acquire Azón on a loan deal.
Ipswich Makes Official Offer for Azón

Initially, Como and Valencia were nearing a straightforward loan agreement for Azón for the 2025-26 campaign. However, Ipswich has now submitted a more intricate proposal: a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy if they are promoted to the Premier League in 2025-26. Furthermore, their offer reportedly contains an option to make the deal permanent even if they don`t achieve promotion this season, coupled with a substantial loan fee.
Azón`s Limited Playing Time at Como

The 22-year-old Azón arrived at Como from Real Zaragoza in the 2025 winter transfer window, in a deal worth €2 million. Despite his transfer, the Spanish forward saw no competitive action under coach Cesc Fàbregas during the latter half of the 2024-25 season. He was included in the squad for only six matches, remaining on the bench as an unused substitute in all of them.
Nonetheless, the young striker has already netted three goals for Como during the ongoing 2025-26 pre-season.
In related transfer news, Ipswich has also reportedly expressed interest in Napoli midfielder Jens Cajuste, with negotiations between the two clubs said to be in progress.
