OGC Nice has finalized the transfer of 23-year-old Swedish forward Isak Jansson. He joins the French club from Austrian Bundesliga side Rapid Wien.
The deal to bring Jansson to Nice is reportedly valued at €7 million, with potential additional payments based on clauses.
Jansson began his professional career at Swedish club Kalmar FF. During his time there, he made 78 appearances, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists. After his contract with Kalmar expired in June 2022, he moved to Spain, joining FC Cartagena in the Segunda División on a free transfer.
He initially arrived at Rapid Wien on loan in February 2024, with the move becoming permanent in July 2024. Last season proved to be a successful period for Jansson, particularly when operating on the left wing for Rapid. Across 33 appearances in all competitions, he registered 14 goal contributions. In the Austrian Bundesliga specifically, he scored seven goals and assisted two others in 22 matches. Jansson also played a key role in Rapid Wien`s European campaign, helping them reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Conference League before their elimination by Djurgårdens IF.
