Ishé Samuels-Smith, 19, has officially rejoined Chelsea on a permanent deal, a surprising move given it comes just weeks after his initial permanent transfer to RC Strasbourg Alsace. Following his return, he has immediately been sent on loan to the EFL Championship side Swansea City.
Earlier in July, Samuels-Smith had moved from Chelsea to Strasbourg—another club under the BlueCo ownership—for a reported fee of €7.5 million. However, the promising England youth international did not manage to make a single appearance for Liam Rosenior`s team during his brief tenure. His departure from Strasbourg was both swift and unexpected. While a loan move to Swansea was anticipated, the left-back ultimately completed a permanent exit from Strasbourg before sealing his return to Chelsea.
Chelsea has officially confirmed Samuels-Smith`s re-signing, which was promptly followed by his loan spell. The specific value of the transfer has not been disclosed by the club, nor has the duration of the Englishman’s new contract at Stamford Bridge.
