Italian authorities are on “maximum alert” for Tuesday`s World Cup qualifier between Italy and Israel. However, the Interior Ministry denies having authorized Mossad to escort the Israeli team.
The upcoming match between Italy and Israel in Udine will necessitate additional security measures from Italian authorities, despite the Gaza ceasefire taking effect today.
Heightened Vigilance for Italy vs. Israel: Security Protocols

According to Gazzetta, a street demonstration is already scheduled for Tuesday, October 14, the day of the match. Nevertheless, Udine Prefect Domenico Lione fears the event could still present “an opportunity for infiltration by violent groups.”
Consequently, commercial activities on Tuesday will face restrictions, being prohibited from selling products in glass, ceramic, or can containers. Outdoor seating areas must also be removed to prevent potential agitators from using objects as makeshift weapons.
The demonstration will occur in the city center, a considerable distance from the stadium. Preliminary screenings for ticket holders will commence one kilometer from the stadium entrances and will be bolstered with anti-terrorism devices designed to detect weapons and explosives.
Low Ticket Sales for Italy vs. Israel Match

Stadio Friuli, with its 25,000-seat capacity, has seen low ticket sales—fewer than 5,000 so far—as potential off-field tensions have deterred fans.
The Israeli team is set to depart for a secret location following their game against Norway tomorrow. Gazzetta reaffirms that the squad will be escorted by Mossad agents, despite the Interior Minister`s denial of any such authorization.
