AC Milan has reportedly joined the race for Hellas Verona`s promising right-back, Jackson Tchatchoua. However, the Rossoneri face stiff competition from several clubs, including Premier League side Nottingham Forest, as well as Serie A rivals Inter Milan and Napoli, all vying for the defender`s signature.
The Milanese club appears to have made progress on their left-back acquisition, with multiple sources indicating a deal is nearing completion for Brighton & Hove Albion`s Pervis Estupinan, valued at just under €20 million. While this move addresses one key defensive area, Milan still urgently needs to reinforce its right-back position, especially following the departures of Alessandro Florenzi and Davide Calabria this summer.
Tchatchoua: A Highly Sought-After Defender

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Jackson Tchatchoua, who is set to celebrate his 24th birthday in September, is the latest candidate being considered by Milan for the right-back role. Acquiring the Cameroon international will be a challenging task due to the significant interest he has garnered this month from various clubs, including domestic giants Inter and Napoli.
Perhaps the most formidable challenger in Milan`s pursuit of Tchatchoua is Nottingham Forest. The English club previously had a €10 million offer for the defender rejected and is anticipated to submit an improved bid of €12 million, reflecting their strong interest.
Last season, Tchatchoua made a notable 36 appearances in Serie A for Verona, contributing positively with two goals and providing three assists, showcasing his potential and versatility on the right flank.
