According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, Napoli`s midfielder Jens Cajuste is strongly leaning towards a return to Ipswich Town, despite receiving a more financially attractive offer from Saudi Arabian club Neom SC.
Cajuste, who is set to turn 26 next week, spent the previous season on loan with Ipswich Town, a deal that incurred a cost of €1.5 million for the English club.
Negotiations for his permanent transfer back to Portman Road are reportedly in an advanced stage, with a proposed fee of €8 million. This potential deal faces competition from the substantial salaries currently being offered by clubs in the Saudi Pro League. Specifically, Neom SC is said to have offered a €2.5 million loan fee, coupled with an €8 million option to buy.
Ipswich Town Remains Cajuste`s Preferred Destination

While other clubs such as Besiktas, Crystal Palace, and Burnley have shown interest in the midfielder over recent weeks, it appears that the familiarity and environment of Ipswich Town are proving to be a significant draw for Cajuste.
Sky Sport Italia further indicates that Cajuste`s strong preference is for the Ipswich Town move, and a definitive decision regarding his future is anticipated within the next 24 hours.
Napoli originally acquired Cajuste from Stade Reims in August 2023 for a sum of €11.5 million. However, his tenure at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona saw him make minimal impact, featuring in 35 competitive appearances for the club, with only 16 of those as a starter, and contributing just two assists.
