VfL Wolfsburg, a German Bundesliga club, has officially confirmed the acquisition of Danish international Jesper Lindstrom. He joins on a season-long loan from Napoli, following his tenure on loan with Everton in the Premier League during the 2024-25 season.
The initial loan agreement for Lindstrom, aged 25, extends until the conclusion of the 2025-26 campaign. This deal is reportedly valued at €1 million, with an integrated option for Wolfsburg to make the transfer permanent for €12 million.
He will don the number 19 jersey during his inaugural season returning to the Bundesliga.

“Jesper brings valuable experience from both the Bundesliga and international competitions. We are acquiring a highly dynamic and adaptable player capable of performing in nearly all midfield roles. We are thrilled that he has already joined our squad and will participate in the team`s training camp.”
— Sebastian Schindzielorz, Wolfsburg sporting director
This transfer to Wolfsburg signifies Lindstrom`s return to the Bundesliga after a two-season absence. He previously departed Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023 to sign with Napoli in a €25 million transfer.

During his last season with Eintracht, Lindstrom contributed significantly with seven goals and four assists in the Bundesliga. However, his subsequent season with Napoli, which saw the team finish a disappointing 10th in 2023-24, was less impactful, yielding no goals.
Following just one season, he departed Napoli for a loan spell at Premier League club Everton. There, he made 25 appearances in the top division before his season was prematurely ended by calf surgery.
