Portuguese international Joao Mario has arrived in Italy to finalize his move from FC Porto to Juventus. This transfer is part of a larger exchange that will see Juventus defender Alberto Costa head to Porto. Juventus confirmed Mario`s arrival in Turin on Wednesday evening, with his medical examination scheduled for Thursday morning.
Joao Mario`s permanent transfer to Juventus is valued at €10 million. In a separate agreement, Alberto Costa, who joined Juventus just six months ago for €12.5 million, will move to Porto in a €16 million deal.

The 25-year-old right-back, a three-time Portugal international, is anticipated to play primarily as a right-back or right wing-back under coach Igor Tudor at Juventus. During the recent Club World Cup, where Porto exited in the group stage, Mario contributed one assist in three matches. Last season, he recorded three assists in 27 league appearances and two assists in eight Europa League games. Over his senior career with Porto, the Portuguese defender scored five goals.
