Porto`s defender, João Mario, is scheduled for a medical examination with Juventus tomorrow, marking the imminent completion of a cash-plus-player exchange deal that includes Alberto Costa.

The Turin giants anticipate the arrival of a new signing this Thursday, with Porto`s right-back João Mario set to undergo medical checks in the city.

Reliable sources with direct insight into the transaction have corroborated the financial details of the agreement, which were initially disclosed by A Bola.

The deal will see João Mario transfer from Porto to Turin, while Alberto Costa will move to the Portuguese club. This marks a return to his homeland for Costa, who has spent only seven months with Juventus.

João Mario`s valuation stands at €10 million. Conversely, Porto will disburse €15 million, with an additional €1 million in performance-related add-ons, for Alberto Costa.

Costa had previously joined Juventus from Vitoria Guimaraes in the January transfer window, in a deal worth €13.8 million.

Earlier this summer, Sporting CP, Porto`s domestic rivals, had engaged in discussions with Juventus regarding Alberto Costa, but were unable to reach a conclusive agreement with the Bianconeri.
