The future of French international Jonathan Clauss at OGC Nice appears uncertain, as significant interest from other clubs has emerged in the final weeks of the transfer period.
Last season, the 32-year-old full-back proved instrumental for Nice in Ligue 1, contributing 3 goals and 10 assists from his right-sided position. Despite having a contract with Les Aiglons until June 2026, an unidentified club is reportedly making a strong push to secure his signature before the transfer window concludes.
Clauss, a two-time scorer for Les Bleus in his 14 international appearances, arrived at Nice last summer following a spell with Olympique de Marseille. His move to Nice saw him link up again with Franck Haise, his former coach at Racing Club de Lens. Under Haise, Clauss helped Lens achieve a second-place finish in Ligue 1, securing qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
Before joining Nice, Clauss had spent the 2023-2024 season at Olympique de Marseille. Despite a tumultuous season under three different managers, he was part of the squad that reached the UEFA Europa League semi-finals.
