Real Madrid’s midfield maestro, Jude Bellingham, is reportedly on track to make a return to the starting XI for their crucial Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
Bellingham, the highly-rated England international, was notably absent from the initial lineup in the first leg of their quarter-final tie against Bayern last week, watching from the sidelines.
This situation arose after a prolonged period out of action for the former Borussia Dortmund star.
However, Bellingham made a welcome return to the starting fold over the weekend in a La Liga fixture against Girona, marking his first start since early February.
Indications from the media on Monday suggest this comeback will be swiftly followed by another starting appearance for the 22-year-old on Wednesday evening.
According to a report from Marca, with Aurélien Tchouaméni facing suspension, Bellingham is considered a certainty to start.
“The Girona game served as a rehearsal for the Allianz Arena,” the report states. “Because it’s clear that Bellingham will start against Bayern Munich.”
