Juventus concluded their first pre-season friendly with a 2-2 draw against Reggiana. Head coach Igor Tudor described the match as “a good test” and emphasized that the team is “working hard” in anticipation of the new season.
Following the game, Tudor reportedly noted the intensity of the week`s training sessions, which led to considerable player fatigue. He added that, as expected at this stage of preparation, some players are physically more advanced than others, and the day`s match served as a highly beneficial training exercise.
Tudor on Bremer`s Return to Juventus Squad
Gleison Bremer`s return to the Juventus squad marked his first appearance since the injury that sidelined him for most of last season. Tudor expressed his satisfaction with the Brazilian defender`s comeback but indicated that he would need time and game exposure to fully regain his customary performance level.
The coach also commented on the overall state of the team, stating his contentment with the initial training days. He highlighted the substantial workload undertaken and the swift integration of new signings. There is a strong sense of commitment within the squad and a genuine desire to execute tasks correctly.
In the friendly against Reggiana, Tudor utilized a diverse group of players, including Lloyd Kelly, Filip Kostic, and Dusan Vlahovic, who had been subject to transfer rumors. Vlahovic scored the Bianconeri`s second goal. Additionally, new signings Jonathan David and Joao Mario made their unofficial debuts.
Juventus` next pre-season fixture is scheduled for August 10, when the Old Lady will face Borussia Dortmund in Germany.
