According to reports from Portuguese outlet O Jogo, Juventus has formally submitted a €30 million offer for Francisco Conceicao. However, the Italian club faces a pressing deadline to finalize crucial details with FC Porto, as Conceicao`s €30 million release clause is only valid until midnight tonight, after which it will automatically escalate to €45 million.
The Bianconeri had previously sought a more economical deal for the player, who spent last season on loan in Turin, an arrangement that incurred a cost of €10 million. Despite their attempts, Juventus ultimately accepted that the transfer fee would not fall below €30 million. Nevertheless, their plan to disburse the payment in three installments, rather than a single upfront sum, means the transaction will not formally constitute an activation of his release clause.
Complexities Surrounding Francisco Conceicao`s Potential Move to Juventus

O Jogo highlights that several intricate details still require resolution, with Porto reportedly insisting on a foundational agreement being in place before the midnight deadline. As previously reported in Italy, Conceicao is willing to forgo €3 million to help facilitate the transfer. This amount represents half of what he would typically be entitled to from such a move, as his contract stipulates he would receive 20 percent of the transfer fee if arranged outside of the release clause, which for a €30 million deal would amount to €6 million.

Super-agent Jorge Mendes is actively working to broker the agreement. A key outstanding issue remains the question of who will cover the remaining €3 million owed to Conceicao. FC Porto is reportedly demanding written confirmation that this financial aspect will be fully addressed before they give the green light to the transfer.
