Juventus Secures €40M Deal for RB Leipzig Striker Openda; Medicals Expected Today

Football & Cricket

Reports from Italy indicate that Juventus has successfully reached an agreement with RB Leipzig for the transfer of Lois Openda, with the Belgian forward scheduled for medical examinations with the Bianconeri later today.

Juventus is poised to welcome the 25-year-old Openda following the finalized agreement with RB Leipzig.

Football Italia had previously noted earlier this month that Openda was a primary target for Juventus, especially if a deal for Kolo Muani from PSG did not materialize.

Multiple reliable sources, including Fabrizio Romano, Gazzetta, and Sportitalia, confirm the transfer fee for Juventus is approximately €40 million.

Openda is already en route to Italy and is anticipated to undergo his medical evaluations this afternoon.

According to Gazzetta, Openda`s flight is expected to land at Turin’s Caselle Airport around 12:30 local time (11:30 BST).

This marks Openda as the second acquisition for the Bianconeri within the last 24 hours, following an agreement for Edon Zhegrova from Lille.

Prior to these, Juventus had secured two other summer signings: Jonathan David on a free transfer and Joao Mario in a player-plus-cash exchange with Porto FC.
