Juventus has officially bid farewell to midfielder Douglas Luiz with a succinct two-word message following his transfer to Premier League club Nottingham Forest. The deal is structured as a loan with a probable obligation to buy.
What Juventus Said After the Nottingham Forest Move
The Bianconeri’s social media shared “Obrigado Dougie” to mark the completion of Luiz`s move to the City Ground.
Both clubs confirmed the transfer on Thursday evening, with Juventus detailing the financial aspects. The club will receive a €3 million loan fee, a further €25 million if the move becomes permanent (payable over four financial years), and potential bonuses of up to €3.5 million. The loan agreement specifies conditions under which the purchase option will become mandatory.

Douglas Luiz`s departure comes just over a year after his €50 million arrival from Aston Villa last summer. During his tenure in Serie A, the Brazilian struggled to establish himself, making only three league starts throughout the 2025-26 season.
