Jens Berthel Askou, the head coach of Motherwell, has confirmed that interest in their highly sought-after teenager, Lennon Miller, is becoming increasingly concrete and specific. This announcement follows earlier reports indicating that Italian Serie A clubs Bologna and Udinese are keen on securing the young midfielder`s services.
Serie A Clubs Intensify Pursuit of Miller
Bologna has reportedly been actively pursuing a deal for Miller since July, while Udinese has also maintained a strong interest in the player. Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Motherwell coach Askou stated, “A lot of things are going on and have been for a while, and the interest is increasing every day and every week for Lennon.”
He further elaborated on the situation, emphasizing, “There is extensive interest from a lot of places and it is becoming more and more concrete and specific.”

Should Miller complete a transfer to Bologna this summer, he would join his Scotland international teammate Lewis Ferguson. This move would also see him become part of a growing contingent of Scottish players in Italy`s top flight, alongside Scott McTominay, Billy Gilmour, Che Adams, and Josh Doig.
Meanwhile, Motherwell is preparing to kick off their 2025-26 Scottish Premiership season on Saturday, with their opening match against Rangers.
Miller has missed some pre-season training due to a minor injury. However, there remains a possibility that the 18-year-old could still be included in the squad for the upcoming game.
