RC Lens is reportedly intensifying their efforts to acquire AJ Auxerre`s talented striker, Lassine Sinayoko, amidst strong competition from OGC Nice. The 25-year-old Malian international has emerged as a sought-after transfer target due to his impressive contributions to Auxerre`s recent success, including five goals and nine assists last season, and a decisive winner in their opening match this season against FC Lorient.
Sinayoko`s standout performances, coupled with the fact he is entering the final year of his contract, have drawn significant attention from clubs across France. OGC Nice previously submitted an offer of €6 million, plus €1 million in bonuses, which was rejected by Auxerre.
Lens is now hoping to outmaneuver Nice in securing the forward`s services. Their sporting director, Jean-Louis Leca, is scheduled to meet with Auxerre`s management today. It is believed that an offer around €8 million could be sufficient to finalize the deal for the promising attacker.
