Lille OSC is actively pursuing a new left-back this summer, following the recent departures of key players Ismaily and Gabriel Gudmundsson. While Romain Perraud had previously been a prominent name linked with a move to LOSC, reports from L’Équipe now indicate that the club has entered advanced discussions to secure the services of Bradley Locko, the talented 23-year-old defender from Stade Brestois.
Locko distinguished himself as one of the standout left-backs in Ligue 1 during the impressive 2023/24 season. However, his subsequent 2024/25 campaign was largely curtailed after he sustained a significant ACL injury during pre-season training. Prior to this setback, Locko was already a subject of considerable transfer speculation, with clubs like Nottingham Forest reportedly showing significant interest in the promising France U21 international.
Despite Brest`s ongoing efforts to extend his current contract, which is set to expire in 2027, a transfer appears increasingly likely in the current window. Lille has formally initiated negotiations with the Breton club regarding a potential move. Stade Brestois is reportedly seeking a transfer fee in the region of €10 million for Locko, who is understood to be receptive to the idea of joining “Les Dogues,” as Lille is colloquially known.
