Lille’s Pursuit of Hamza Igamane Encounters Feyenoord Challenge

Football & Cricket

The pursuit by football club Lille to acquire 21-year-old Moroccan forward Hamza Igamane has encountered difficulties, despite the player already having reached a principal agreement with the French club.

This promising Rangers forward scored 12 goals in 33 matches in the Scottish Premiership last season. He moved to the Scottish club from AS FAR in January 2024 and has attracted attention due to his convincing performances for Morocco`s U23 national team and in last year`s Europa League.

Earlier this month, Lille was considered the frontrunner in the race for the player, with negotiations actively ongoing and personal terms agreed upon with the footballer. However, discussions with Rangers have stalled in recent days, as no agreement has yet been reached on the transfer fee.

Meanwhile, Feyenoord has joined the competition for Igamane, further complicating the situation for Lille. Interest from Everton and Udinese has also been reported.
