Olympique Lyon has reportedly finalized an agreement to bring Martin Satriano, 24, on a loan deal from fellow Ligue 1 club RC Lens. The Uruguayan forward is anticipated to complete his medical examination with Lyon this Sunday. This acquisition comes as a crucial step for Lyon, who have been actively seeking to bolster their attacking options following Georges Mikautadze`s €30 million transfer to Villarreal. It is also suggested that Satriano might not be the sole new striker to arrive at Lyon before the transfer deadline.
Satriano initially joined Lens last summer on loan from Inter Milan, a deal which included a purchase option. However, his tenure was cut short due to a season-ending ACL injury sustained early in the campaign, limiting him to just seven appearances for the club. The current loan agreement with Lyon reportedly includes a €5 million buy option. This transfer suggests Satriano was not considered part of manager Pierre Sage`s immediate plans. Lyon is also preparing to host Marseille this Sunday in a highly anticipated “Choc des Olympiques.”
