Marcin Bulka’s Season in Jeopardy After ACL Injury

Football & Cricket

Goalkeeper Marcin Bulka, aged 25, has reportedly suffered a severe injury shortly after joining Saudi Arabian club Neom SC, potentially ending his season prematurely. This unfortunate development comes as a major blow for the Polish international, who recently made a high-profile transfer.

Bulka departed from OGC Nice this summer in a transfer valued at over €15 million to Neom SC. The Polish international had only recently made his debut for his new club, featuring in a 1-0 defeat against Al-Ahli, marking the beginning of what was expected to be a new chapter in his career.

Having not been selected for the recent international break, Bulka remained with the Saudi Pro League team, engaging in training sessions. It was during one of these sessions that the severe injury occurred.

During a training session, the goalkeeper sustained an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. This significant setback could rule Bulka out for the entire current season, jeopardizing his immediate future with his new club.

Before his summer transfer to the Gulf State, which followed his decision not to extend his contract with OGC Nice (also known as Le Gym), Bulka had amassed 89 appearances for the French club. This marked his highest number of games for any single club throughout his career so far, underscoring his importance to Nice before his departure.
