Marseille Agrees Loan for Hamed Junior Traoré with Bournemouth

Football & Cricket

Olympique Marseille has reached an agreement with AFC Bournemouth for the loan of 25-year-old attacking midfielder Hamed Junior Traoré. The deal reportedly includes an almost mandatory option to buy for €7.5 million.

Traoré, a versatile player capable of operating as an attacking midfielder or a winger, is expected to be a valuable addition to Roberto De Zerbi’s squad, especially following the recent sale of Jonathan Rowe to Bologna.

This move will also see Traoré reunite with manager Roberto De Zerbi, as the two previously worked together during their time at Italian club Sassuolo. After impressive performances with the Neroverdi, Traoré secured a five-year deal with the Cherries. However, he struggled to make a significant impact during his tenure with the Premier League side.

Reports suggest that the total value of Traoré’s move to Marseille could eventually reach up to €15 million, considering various performance-related add-ons.

Last season, Traoré was a revelation during his loan spell in Ligue 1, where he delivered outstanding performances for Auxerre. He recorded an impressive tally of ten goals and two assists in just 26 games, highlighting his potential to contribute significantly to Marseille’s attacking prowess.
