According to RMC Sport, Olympique Marseille continues to maintain contact with Bayern Munich defender Sacha Boey (24) in case a move for Juventus`s Timothy Weah (25) does not materialize.
Marseille has already agreed on a five-year contract with Weah, but negotiations with Juventus regarding the transfer fee are still ongoing. Should the clubs fail to agree on a price for Weah, Marseille will consider Sacha Boey as an alternative option.
The Provence-based club remains in constant contact with Boey, who joined Bayern Munich from Galatasaray in January. He could be available for transfer this summer due to limited playing time and a mixed second half of the season in Germany.
The former Rennes and Dijon defender, born in the Seine-Saint-Denis region, moved to Turkey in 2021, where he made 63 appearances for the Istanbul club before moving to Munich last winter.
This situation arises as Marseille`s negotiations for Feyenoord winger Igor Paixão (25) have reportedly stalled. The Dutch club has not responded favorably to OM`s latest offer, which is believed to be around €28 million.
