Olympique de Marseille is reportedly nearing an agreement on personal terms with Lille OSC winger Edon Zhegrova, aged 26. The Kosovan international has almost finalized a personal deal with OM, a process facilitated by his recent acquisition of an Albanian passport. This change in status reclassifies him as an EU player, significantly simplifying potential transfer logistics.
However, Lille remains steadfast on their asking price of €15 million, with an additional €5 million in bonuses, for the former Basel forward. Zhegrova has been a notable contributor for `Les Dogues`, having netted 15 goals and provided 12 assists across 80 Ligue 1 appearances, showcasing his offensive capabilities.
Zhegrova has faced a period of inactivity throughout 2025 due to undergoing surgery for pubalgia. Furthermore, earlier this summer, his expressed desire to depart the club led to him being temporarily assigned to train with the reserve squad, underscoring his ambition for a move away from Lille.
Despite LOSC president Olivier Létang`s public assertion that the winger will honor his current contract, Marseille continues active negotiations and remains optimistic about concluding a transfer before the window ultimately shuts, aiming to secure Zhegrova`s services.
