Marseille Offer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Contract

Football & Cricket

Olympique de Marseille has reportedly initiated contact regarding a potential return for striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 36. According to Foot Mercato, the Gabonese player has received an offer for a two-year deal from his former club.

During his previous single season at the Stade Vélodrome, Aubameyang became a popular figure among fans. He was highly productive, netting 30 goals and providing 11 assists in 51 appearances across various competitions. His contribution was key in Marseille reaching the UEFA Europa League semi-finals before being knocked out by eventual champions Atalanta BC.

Although Aubameyang only departed Marseille last summer, his spell at Al-Qadsiah has concluded. Marseille, known as Les Phocéens, are not the only club interested in acquiring the forward on a free transfer. Reports suggest that several Premier League teams are monitoring his status, alongside other clubs in Ligue 1.

It appears Marseille has gained an advantage in securing his signature, particularly as manager Roberto De Zerbi has personally endorsed the potential transfer. De Zerbi reportedly wanted to build his team around Aubameyang when he first arrived last summer.
