Olympique de Marseille is reportedly parting ways with midfielders Adrien Rabiot and Jonathan Rowe. This decision follows a recent dressing room dispute involving both players after the team`s defeat to Rennes.
While both players were initially suspended from training, the club has now opted for a permanent separation, signaling their intent to move them on from the squad.
Adrien Rabiot, who joined Marseille last summer, quickly established himself as a vital player. He played a crucial role in a successful campaign where the club secured UEFA Champions League qualification and finished second in Ligue 1.
However, it appears coach Roberto De Zerbi and the club no longer see the France international as part of their plans for the upcoming season, a decision reportedly conveyed to his agent, Veronique Rabiot.
Consequently, Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus are closely monitoring Rabiot`s situation, with both clubs reportedly interested in acquiring his services.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Rowe is also expected to depart. Premier League side Sunderland and Italy`s Bologna are among the clubs tracking the young player.
Marseille is aiming to secure the maximum possible transfer fees for both players as the transfer window progresses, seeking to capitalize on their departures.
