Midfielder Michel Aebischer is poised to become a Pisa player, marking the end of his three-and-a-half-year journey with Bologna.
Aebischer`s Imminent Departure from Bologna for Pisa
Reports from July indicated that newly-promoted Pisa had shown strong interest in acquiring the 28-year-old. Despite his contract with Bologna extending until summer 2027, Aebischer is anticipated to depart this summer.
Negotiations for the transfer have proceeded without hitches, and Aebischer is expected to finalize his move to Pisa before the commencement of the 2025-26 season.
The concluding terms of the agreement are currently being finalized. Once these are settled, Aebischer`s transfer to Pisa will be officially announced.
The 32-cap Switzerland international will depart the Rossoblu after a productive three-year period. This spell included Bologna`s historic qualification for the Champions League at the close of the 2023-24 season, and their inaugural Coppa Italia victory at the end of the 2024-25 season.
