Midway through the World Cup, PCB sends their media manager back to Pakistan

Midway through the World Cup, PCB sends their media manager back to Pakistan. Even before the 2023 ICC Men’s World Cup came to an end, there were indications of change within the Pakistan men’s cricket team.

Ahsan Iftikhar Nagi, the media manager for the Green Shirts, has been called back to Pakistan. Umar Farooq Kalson, PCB’s media consultant, will urgently visit India. For the duration of the World Cup, Umar Farooq will take Iftikhar Nagi’s place as media manager.

PCB issued a statement earlier today endorsing the team that is competing in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023 in India. Pakistan is facing a daunting task as a result of their three consecutive losses during the mega tournament, which has complicated their path to the semi-finals.

“The PCB recognizes the feelings and thoughts of cricket enthusiasts in the wake of the national team’s three straight losses at the ICC World Cup 2023. Babar Azam, the captain, and the entire Pakistan cricket squad are expected to receive continued support from the cricket community and fans in this difficult climate, according to a press release from the PCB.

“The national team still has four important round-robin matches to go, and the PCB is hopeful that the team will bounce back, overcome the setbacks, and play well in the next games.”

In response to the media’s criticism of team captain Babar Azam and the management, the board has taken the position that wins and losses are only a part of the sport, parroting the sentiments of former cricket players.

In the future, the board will decide what is best for Pakistani cricket, taking into account the team’s World Cup results. The PCB is currently urging supporters, former players, and other interested parties to unite behind the team in their quest to pull off a spectacular comeback in the major tournament.

The Green Shirts now have games against South Africa, Bangladesh, New Zealand, and England, all of which they must win to go to the semifinals.
