One of AS Monaco`s most promising academy prospects, Saïmon Bouabré (19), is set to leave the club, having agreed to join Saudi side Neom SC. Meanwhile, another talented academy product, Lucas Michal (20), is currently drawing considerable attention from various Ligue 1 clubs, according to a report from L`Équipe.
Last season, Michal transitioned from the academy to the first-team, featuring in 11 Ligue 1 matches. The young forward is eager for more playing time in the upcoming season, though securing this at the Principality club is not guaranteed.
L`Équipe reports that FC Nantes has expressed interest in Michal. However, their proposal for a loan with an option to buy has not yet persuaded Monaco to sanction his departure. “Les Canaris” are anticipated to make a revised offer. Furthermore, FC Metz is also keen on a loan move for Michal, while Stade Brestois is exploring the possibility of a permanent transfer. Despite this widespread interest, Monaco has not yet indicated a willingness to let the player go.
