Muhammad Rizwan was Angry at the third umpire for dismissing him during the second AUS vs. PAK test at the MCG

Muhammad Rizwan was Angry at the third umpire for dismissing him during the second AUS vs. PAK test at the MCG. Before Mohammad Rizwan was controversially given out off Pat Cummins’s ball in the second Test match between Australia and Pakistan at the MCG, the game was tied. The hosts went on to win the match by 79 runs and the series.

With 318 runs to chase, Pakistan was comfortably ahead at 219-5 when 35-year-old Rizwan attempted to hit a short ball. The Australians filed an appeal after the ball struck him in the lower right arm and traveled to wicketkeeper Alex Carey.

When the on-field umpire, Michael Gough, failed to award it, Cummins contested the ruling and had it sent upstairs. As the ball past Rizwan’s wristband, third umpire Richard Illingworth made reference to the spike on the Snicko meter. Illingworth then requested that Gough reverse his initial call of not out. As the ball passed Rizwan, it was evident that there was no mark on the hotspot.

The Australian captain claimed his 250th wicket in a Test match when he took the wicket. The Pakistani keeper-batter was not thrilled with the decision and indicated that the ball had brushed his forearm rather than the wristband.
