Nantes midfielder Douglas Augusto, aged 28, has officially become a player for Russian football club FK Krasnodar. The deal was announced by both parties. The Brazilian defensive midfielder, who spent two seasons with Les Canaris, was considered one of the most stable and reliable players in midfield. This transfer happens against the backdrop of another important midfielder`s departure, Pedro Chirivella.
According to reports, the transfer fee was 6.5 million euros. Augusto`s initial contract with Nantes ran until 2027. During his time in France, the player appeared in 57 matches and scored four goals. At Krasnodar, Douglas Augusto joins two other newcomers from the French Ligue 1, Jubal and Gaëtan Perrin, who also moved this summer.
