FC Nantes forward Tino Kadewere, aged 29, is reportedly on the verge of transferring to Greek club Aris Thessaloniki. Reports suggest this move would be a free transfer for the Zimbabwean international, potentially including clauses for future sell-on fees for Nantes.
Kadewere began his professional football career in his home country with Harare City FC. In August 2015, he made a move to European football, joining Swedish side Djurgårdens IF, where he scored 17 goals in 54 appearances. This impressive tally attracted the interest of French club Le Havre AC, which he joined in July 2018. Kadewere truly shone during his time at Le Havre, finding the net 25 times in 47 matches, including a remarkable 20 goals in just 24 games during the 2019-20 Ligue 2 season.
A permanent transfer to Olympique Lyonnais followed in July 2020. While his initial period at Groupama Stadium started promisingly, with 10 goals in his debut Ligue 1 campaign, his goal-scoring form subsequently declined. This led to a loan spell at RCD Mallorca for the 2022–23 season.
He initially arrived at Nantes on loan in January 2024, with the transfer becoming permanent in July 2024 as a free agent. However, since his move to the club, Kadewere has managed to score only four goals in 28 appearances across all competitions.
Kadewere is reportedly among several players Nantes is actively looking to offload during the current summer transfer window. Defender Jean-Charles Castelletto is also rumored to be departing the Stade de la Beaujoire as part of the club`s restructuring efforts.
