На этой неделе ФК «Нант» был близок к подписанию немецкого защитника Армеля Белла-Котчапа (23) из «Саутгемптона» в качестве замены ушедшему в Саудовскую Аравию Натану Зезе. Соглашение с «Саутгемптоном» было достигнуто, и ожидалось, что игрок прибудет во Францию для завершения перехода.

This week, FC Nantes had reportedly come close to securing German defender Armel Bella-Kotchap (23) from Southampton. The move was intended to replace Nathan Zézé, who recently departed for Saudi Arabia. An agreement with Southampton had been finalized, and the player was anticipated to arrive in France to complete his transfer to the Ligue 1 side.
However, as reported by L’Équipe, citing Football Italia, the deal has now fallen through. Bella-Kotchap is instead expected to join Italian Serie A club Hellas Verona. Nantes considers the matter closed and will not pursue further negotiations, having been displeased with the conduct of the player`s representatives.
Despite expressing satisfaction with the performances of Chidozie Awaziem (28) and Tylel Tati (17) in recent 0-1 defeats against Paris Saint-Germain and RC Strasbourg Alsace, Nantes is still actively seeking to recruit a new central defender.
